Agri-bank Platform for Rural E-commerce
Built an agricultural products and rural resource matching platform, covering collection, cleaning, matching and delivery.

Background and problem
Supply and demand information for agricultural products is scattered across farmers, cooperatives and distribution channels, which makes matching inefficient. The platform needed to integrate multi-source data to support supply-demand matching and analysis.
Constraints
- Data comes from a variety of sources, with inconsistent formats and update frequencies.
- Network and device conditions are limited in rural settings, so the platform had to stay lightweight and usable.
- The data involves business information, so the scope of data visibility had to be controlled.
Approach and architecture
The data pipeline is organised as “collection — cleaning — integration — analysis”: a unified data model is established, information is organised by subject (farmers, cooperatives, channels), and queries and analysis are then designed around the matching scenarios.
Key decisions
- Unified subject model: define the subjects and their relationships first, then talk about features.
- Incremental updates: design update strategies according to each data source’s characteristics, avoiding full reruns.
- Analysis serves the scenario: only build metrics related to matching, rather than chasing breadth.
Results and measurement
Completed the collection, integration and analysis of agri-business data, supporting the data needs of precise matching scenarios and providing a data foundation for platform features.
Technical details
- Used Pandas/SQL for collection, cleaning and field alignment of agri-business data.
- Established supply-demand matching fields and statistical definitions for agricultural products and agri-business resources.
- Covered data ingestion, integrated analysis and delivery of matching scenarios on the platform side.
Reflection
The key to integrating multi-source data is master data management. If I did it again, I would establish master data and de-duplication rules before developing the analysis features.
Scope and security
This is a static case study. The page does not run project code or collect uploads, logins or visitor data. Metrics come from project records and local experiments; reproduce details from the source or report. Read the site security model →
